About
Barbara Neuhofer is currently a PhD Researcher at the John Kent Institute in Tourism at Bournemouth University, UK, where she writes her thesis about "Technology-enabled enhanced tourist experiences: an exploration of antecedents, critical success factors and measurement of technology supported consumer experiences in tourism".
She is also a part-time lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg where she was working as a researcher at the Department of Tourism Research for the past two years.
She holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Tourism Management from the University of Derby, UK. In her master’s thesis, she researched the perceived value of location based services in a tourism context.
Further research interests regard etourism, mobile tourism, the use of information and communication technologies in tourism, website usability as well as the tourist experience and the role ICT play in the enhancement of tourism experiences.
