I work at Bournemouth University as a lecturer in Journalism and Communication.

I am a former U.S. print reporter with seven years experience, working at the Jacksonville Business Journal and the Florida Times-Union, as well as freelancing at various magazines and newspapers around the country.

My research interests are media reporting, suicide, mental illness, and childhood studies.
